About | Roseburg News Review April 15, 2010 Delton (Del) G. Troutman Born December 1, 1941 in Medford, Oregon. Delton passed away at his home with his family at his side on Tuesday April 13, 2010. Delton graduated from Crater High School in 1959. Married Janet Hobbs Troutman on December 28, 1962 in Medford, Oregon They then moved to Corvallis for Delton to attend the Oregon State Dairy Products Lab. After he graduated they moved to Roseburg, Oregon where he was employed by Umqua Dairy as a milkman for 19 years. Then he was an E.M.T. for Billy Mohr Ambulanc and Towing for a number of years. In 1977 he and other business partners started D&D Towing where he drove the tow truck up until a year before his death. In 1994 he and his business partner bought Floyd's Glass Shop. Preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Louise (Boes) Troutman, and sister Joyce. Delton is survived by his wife, Janet, daughter, Lynn Gilbert of Roseburg, Oregon; son Brent (Nancy) Troutman of Delano, Minnesota; daughter, Kym (Fabian) Carr of Roseburg, Oregon; special niece, Becky Roland that he got to raise, Portland, Oregon. He has seven grandchildren, Jeremey and Nicole Labeck, Devon, Alyssa and Sydney Troutman, Brandon and Lucas Carr, Sister JoAnn (Glenn) Harris, business partner and friend John Jewell - D&D Towing and Floyds Auto Glass, many other relatives and friends. Del was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 2 p.m. Wellspring Bible Fellowship 2245 NW Kline, Roseburg. |
