A graduated and after 1 year married her high school boyfriend Pat McFarlane, married for 38 years lived in Portland area raised one son Steve McFarlane. She got divorced and moved up to Seattlewhere she lived in the heart of belltown. She worked at trumpet in Portland and with the city of Seattle. Doing contracts for infrstructure development for the city. She worked in solid waste just prior to her death. She had breast cancer for ten years and got metastases the last three. She refused too stop living working full time and going to every blues festival that was close. At the end she chose hospice and went on listening to trombone shorty hoping she could take her blues and smokes with her on the next journey. She made the most of her life and had an auditorium full of her friends and family doing what she wanted to do, appreciate all you have each moment you have it and move on once you are finished.
