| About | Arthur Frank Skipper Jr. July 31, 1970 - October 16, 2001 "PORTLAND, Ore. -- On Tuesday, Oct. 16, Art Skipper Jr., 31, and Ted R. Skipper, 37, both from Gresham, were involved in a single-engine plane crash east of Sandy, Ore. Art suffered fatal injuries in the crash. His cousin Ted suffered internal injuries and broken bones, and is listed in serious condition at OHSU Hospital at Oregon Health & Science University. Art worked for the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, then taught at David Douglas High School before joining the Portland Fire Bureau last year. Ted worked for Boeing Aircraft doing planning, production and computer programming for 15 years before starting his own business, S3 Manufacturing in Gresham, this past year. The Skippers, well known in their community for 110 years of public service in the Portland Fire Bureau and the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, wish to thank friends and members of the community for their outpouring of concern and support." |
