Judy Bice grew up in Delake and Oceanlake, attended Taft and Oceanlake Grade Schools and graduated from Taft High School in 1964. She retired from a long career in nursing, hoping to spend her next book of life enjoying her grandchildren. Judy lived for her grandchildren and was such a nurturing being for her family, friends and patients. However, soon after retiring, pancreatic cancer had other plans for her. With only a six percent survival rate, Judy met the challenge with positive energy and managed to live a year beyond her three month prognosis. That meant two more Christmases, a year of birthdays and a chance to meet her seventh and final grandchild. Her husband Jerry and three children all live in the Portland/Vancouver area. |
