About | Robert Wallace Miller, 65, of Abington, Pennsylvania, passed away early July 2014, after much strength and courage during illness. A well-respected and beloved worker at the United States Postal Distribution Center, he was a loving, devoted son, brother and colleague. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Bob was the son of Wallace E. and Catherine T. Miller. The family moved to Abington, when he was young. He graduated from Abington High School in 1967 and attended Pennsylvania State University at Ogontz campus. Bob served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the aircraft carrier USS America. He lived his life as a loyal American patriot. After his tour of duty, Bob spent 20 years as a successful sales representative with International Harvester, based in Baltimore, Maryland. Bob returned to Abington to spend many selfless years taking care of his elderly parents during their long illnesses, never leaving their sides. He will be remembered by all who knew and loved him as a kind, generous, good-hearted man. Friends and all who came in contact with Bob remarked that he was the “nicest man they’d ever met.” He will be missed by all. Survivors include his beloved sister, Maureen C. Miller and a very loving extended family. |
