| About | Mr. Brett Lee Bivens, 50, of 590 Roberta Avenue, Dover, DE passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2010 at home. Born April 24, 1960 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of Patsy Bivens of Chambersburg, PA and the late Richard L. Bivens. Mr. Bivens graduated from the Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1978. Mr. Bivens was a ten-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. After his discharge, he worked as a CAO Management Specialist at the Dover Air Force Base Commissary. He was an amateur radio operator and a World War II history buff. In addition to his mother, Mr. Bivens is survived by his wife, Heather Bivens of Dover; three sons, Matthew Bivens and Andrew Bivens of Cary, NC and Steven Bivens of Dover; a daughter, Katherine Bivens and a stepdaughter, Marie Owen of Dover; and a brother, Kent Bivens of West Chester, PA. He is also survived by a niece; Kimberly Bivens and a nephew, Adam Bivens both of West Chester, PA; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
