About | Mr. Lanny R. McClure, 60, of Quincy, PA passed away in his home on Tuesday, August 25, 2020.Born June 29, 1960 in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late George W. and Judith A. (Clemence) McClure. Lanny was a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, class of 1978. Later he studied to receive a paralegal certificate from Kaplan University. He and his wife, Christine (Freeman), were married December 24, 1997 at the Mont Alto Fire Hall in Mont Alto, PA. Mr. McClure was employed at Quebecor as a book binder for 18 years in Fairfield, PA. He was a lifelong member of the Blue Rock United Brethren Church in Waynesboro, PA. Lanny was a well-read man, he loved poetry, writing, and reading. He loved to collect buttons, just like his grandmother, Hot Wheels, and marbles, and he shared this passion with his special nephew, Joseph. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepmother, Kimberly Weaver of Heath, OH; two half sisters, Tatum (Robert) Foster of Granville, OH and Madelyn McClure of Heath, OH; Aunt Lark and Uncle Dave; as well as his special nephew, Joseph Freeman. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his uncle, Bud McClure. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
