| About | Carol A. (Dineff) Hewitt, 70, of Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Weatherwood Manor. She was born on April 21, 1952 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Thomas and Sophia (Gatseff) Dineff. Carol graduated from Deer Lakes High School in 1970. She was a 1973 graduate of Citizens General in New Kensington where she obtained her nursing degree. Prior to her retirement she worked at several facilities as a registered nurse, including; the Cleveland Clinic from 1973-1974, UPMC North Hills Passavant Hospital from 1974-1975, Monsour Hospital and KeyCare Visiting Nurses Association from 1980-1986; and the Recovery and Radiology Department at Westmoreland Hospital from 1986-1996. Her favorite pastimes included reading, music, gardening, bingo, and car racing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gary D. Hewitt in 2008, and her son Matthew D. Hewitt in 2003. She is survived by her daughter Heather Reagan and her husband Corey; a granddaughter, Riley Grace Reagan; her sisters, Joy Morian (Bob) and Suzanne Mailes-Dineff (Mark); and her brother, Thomas Dineff. Her family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the staff at AHN Hospice and Weatherwood Manor for the compassionate care they provided to Carol. Services and interment were private for the family. The John V. Graziano Funeral Home Inc. in Jeannette has been entrusted with the arrangements.
