About | Dennis Alton Hornberger, 80, passed away on March 8, 2021 after a brief stay at Kindred Hospital in Melbourne, Florida. Dennis was born on March 1, 1941 to the late George and Helen Hornberger in Reading, Pennsylvania. He Graduated from Exeter Township High School and went into the United States Air Force on August 5, 1959. He proudly served his country until 1963. Dennis was skilled and highly trained as a Tac Missileer and as a nuclear weapons tech assistant. He married his sweetheart, Angelina and stayed devoted to her for 58 years. Dennis entered the field of Metallurgy after his time in the Air Force. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion number 359. He loved working with his hands, such as in wood working. He also enjoyed the great outdoors engaging in hunting and fishing. He loved his family and spending time with them. He will be missed by all those that hold him dear to their heart. Dennis Alton Hornberger is survived by his wife, Angie; His sons Phillip (Mary) and Timothy (Rebecca) Hornberger; Grandchildren, Kari, (Adam), Kent and Cayton; Great grandchildren Zackary, Seraphina and Maddalina; Brother, Kenneth K. Hornberger (Anita). He is proceeding in death his parents, George A. and Helen B. Hornberger and his brother, Eugene G. Hornberger. Military honors will be presented in honor of Mr. Dennis Hornberger on October 22, 2021 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. |
