About | David W. Silfee of Philadelphia, formerly of Bethlehem, went to his Heavenly home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. He was a graduate of Freedom High School, Swarthmore College and Arcadia University, and inspired students as an English teacher in Philadelphia. Survivors:David will be sadly missed by his family and friends, wife Deborah James of Philadelphia, PA; children Megan, Daniel and Juli Silfee; mother Marilynn Silfee of Bethlehem, PA; and sisters Susan Silfee of Jasper, Alabama and Joan Singleton and her husband Christopher Singleton of Hershey, PA. David was predeceased by his father, Donald W. Silfee. Services: A celebration of Davids life will be held at 11 a.m. at the Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church, 75 E. Union Blvd., Bethlehem, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service in the Church. Arrangements entrusted to the Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
