| About | Dawson Ronald Wimmer, 59, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, November 20, 2017 at his home. Dawson was born in Baltimore, MD on November 24, 1957 to Royce and Delores Snyder Wimmer. He was employed by North State Aviation in Winston Salem for many years. Dawson loved the summer time, and spending time at the beach and weekends with his family at Belews Lake. He was a loving son, husband, and father. He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Snyder Wimmer. Left to cherish his memory, is his loving wife of 13 years, Joni Turbyfill Wimmer; 2 daughters, Alexa and fiancé Zachary, Kassidy(John); son, Dylan and fiancé Brittany; father, Royce Wimmer; 2 brothers; Rick Wimmer (Kathy), and Rob Wimmer (Dawn); father and mother in law, Dennis and Glenda Turbyfill; and several nieces and nephews. An 11:00 am celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Burroughs Chapel with Rev. Jim Cohn officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10-11 am at Burroughs Funeral Home and other times at his home.
