| Events | Wayne K. Watson, 69, of Bethlehem, passed away on July 13, 2026, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Rev. William B. Watson, Sr. and Elysce M. (Williams) Watson. Wayne was employed by the Local #1174 Laborers Union before retiring due to health concerns. Wayne was a man whose love was shown through his actions every single day. He was a proud and loving grandfather, and someone who found his greatest joy in spending time with his grandchildren. Whether he was sharing stories, making them laugh, or simply being present, the memories he created with them will be treasured forever. Wayne had a generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand or care for those around him. His kindness, compassion, and selflessness touched the lives of many and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He was also an amazing cook, Beyond his talent in the kitchen, Wayne was a natural caretaker who always made sure the people he loved were looked after and never felt alone. Wayne’s strength, warmth, and unwavering love will never be forgotten. Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in the countless memories he gave us and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. Surviving are a daughter, Nichole Marie Watson of Bethlehem; a son, LaMarr William Watson of Allentown; brothers, Ricardo Watson of Allentown and Jeffrey Watson, Sr. (Carol) of Bethlehem Township; sisters, Rhonda Cosby of Bethlehem, and Deborah Watson of Springfield, Massachusetts; and five grandchildren (Aleeyah, Janiyah, Arianna, Olivia and Jayvian) & one great-grandchild (Kyrie). In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by four brothers, Roddley, William, Jr., Donald, and Rev. Paul. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Wayne’s name to Operation Smile, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the Allentown Rescue Mission. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem. |
