| About | Joseph “Junie” Newkirk Jr., 40, of 142 Conestoga St., Steelton, died Thursday in Harrisburg Hospital. He was employed by Gulf South and a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Surviving are his wife, Crystal L. Newkirk; a daughter, Crystal J.; four sons, Tyrell, Tanel, Joey and Jaye, all of Harrisburg; his mother, Emily J. Newkirk of Harrisburg; and two sisters, Zulene A. Newkirk of Philadelphia and Linda Love Newkirk of Germany. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in his church. Burial will be in William Howard Day Cemetery, Swatara Twp. Viewing will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday in the church. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, is handling arrangements. |
