About | Lew, 68, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family, on October 2nd, 2023. He was the son of the late Samuel J. Cordner and Ethel Lash Cordner. Lew is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen Leidich Cordner, his two sons, Scott (Mary) Cordner, and Jay (Torri) Cordner, both of Harrisburg, PA. Lew is also survived by his 4 loving grandchildren, Samantha, Alex, Owen and Emily as well as his extended family. Lew apprenticed and became a Journeyman, Inside Wireman. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 143, for 45 years. Lew worked at multiple nuclear plants in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and spending time at his family camp (The Last Resort II). He relaxed while mowing the lawn and target shooting with his sons and grandchildren. His hobbies also included Sudoku, crossword puzzles, and watching movies. Lew was a self-taught, skilled craftsman, and thoroughly enjoyed working in his at home woodshop. Lew could always find something to laugh about and was the first person to put a smile on your face when entering a room. He always found humor and wit in any situation. He was an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Lew will be missed by many family and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 6th, 2023 at Calvary United Methodist Church (4700 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, PA 17109) from 11-1pm, with a celebration of life service to follow with Pastor Randall Bennett Jr., presiding. |
