About | THE OBITUARY To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born and a time to die; Ecclesiastes 3:1. A TIME TO BE BORN Ronald O. Wilkerson, the son of the late Thomas D. Wilkerson, Sr., and the late Lona A. Wilkerson was born on Saturday, July 17, 1954 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania A TIME TO LEARN AND WORK: Ronnie as he was affectionally called by family and friends, received his formal education in the Harrisburg Public School District, graduating from John Harris in 1973. During his working career, Ronnie worked for the Harrisburg School District Special Education Department and retired from Keystone Human Service as a program supervisor after 23 years of dedicated service. A TIME TO ENJOY LIFE: Ronnie was a loving and generous brother and uncle. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews, whom he teased often. Ronnie always left a lasting impression on everyone he met. In his leisure he loved traveling and buying fine clothes and enjoying the finer things in life.. A TIME TO DIE: On Saturday, April 3, 2021 at UMPC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Ronnie completed his earthly journey and entered the eternal rest of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A TIME TO MOURN: In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his two grandmothers, Susan J. Wilkerson and Ruth Miller; his brother, Thomas D. Wilkerson, Jr.; his nephew, Adam Wilkerson; his two sisters- in- law, Judith Wilkerson and Shirley Wilkerson. Ronnie leaves to celebrate his life and love are his three brothers, Terrence Wilkerson, Melvin Wilkerson (Sandra), Thomas D. Wilkerson; 2 sisters. Debra S. Wilkerson and Debra Childs-Jordon (John); two nephews, Thomas D. Wilkerson III, and Kevin R, Wilkerson; four nieces,Shawna Slaughter (Brian), Shannon Brown (Andre), Indya LaRowe (Aaron), Adrienne Wilkerson.; his two Goddaughters, Brooklynn Slaughter and Neteasha Knisley; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Despite Ronnie’s departure to eternal life, his memory and loving spirit will be cherished for lifetimes to come. Funeral services have been entrusted to Major H. Winfield Funeral Home 704 N.
