Joseph Buchinski Jr., of Lilburne, Ga., died Wednesday night at home following a long and courageous battle with muscular dystrophy. Born in Mayfield on June 1, 1958, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eva Roulinaitis Buchinski. He was a graduate of Lakeland High School and received his B.A. degree in music from Mansfield University. He served six years in the Navy, including attending the Naval Nuclear Power School. He served aboard the USS Henry Stimson, being deployed in locations all over the world. He was employed in the pharmaceutical industry, and in recent years was CEO of Mountain Park Animal Hospital.Joseph was well-liked by all who came in contact with him. One of his best qualities was the kindness and consideration he showed toward others. He was very generous, and always offered a helping hand when needed. His musical talents were well-known throughout the area, as evidenced by numerous requests to play taps at solemn events. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. In accordance with his wishes, a memorial service will be held on a date to be decided. |
