Gary L. Mellon, age 52, of Rostraver Township, formerly of Versailles Boro, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at home. A retired superintendent for Dick Corporation, he was also a certified concrete technician. He was a 1977 graduate of McKeesport High School, member of Laborers Local #1058 and loved to cook and travel. Born August 7, 1959 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Alvin Luke Mellon and Helen (Willingham) Mellon. He is survived by a daughter, Candice S. Mellon; sons, Dane T. Mellon and Ryan A. Mellon; siblings, Alvin "Buddy" Kempler, Fred Mellon, Peggy Pasternak, Patsy Hanas and Lorrie Siedlecki; nieces and nephews and former wife, Kimberly. He was also predeceased by a brother, Bubby Mellon and sister, Sarah "Dee" Mellon. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles on Tuesday, May 15th from 6-9PM. A service will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10AM, with Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Burial will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon Township. |
