About | Rankin , William R. 59 White Oak William R. "Bill" Rankin, 59, of White Oak, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at home with his wife and son at his side after a three year courageous battle with cancer. Born Sept. 9, 1952, he was the son of the late Doris Payne Rankin Chojnacki and William L. Rankin and stepson of the late Bernard Chojnacki. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Karen L. Rankin. A Navy Vietnam Era veteran, he was the owner of Courtesy Door Company for more than 25 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ruth (Olek) Rankin; and their son, Paul, of White Oak; brothers, Paul (Rhonda) Rankin, of Beaver Falls; and stepbrother, Michael Chojnacki, of Southside. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Susan M. Alexander; stepmother, Kathleen Chojnacki; nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2703 O'Neil Blvd., McKeesport, PA 15132, where a blessing service will be held at 7:30 p.m. with Deacon Gerard Como presiding.
