About | Dora J. Whyne ( August 07, 1952 - August 02, 2021 ) Mount Carmel - Dora J. (Percival) Whyne, 68, passed away August 2, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Montgomery, PA on August 7, 1952, the daughter of Raymond W. and Dorothy J. (Robbins) Percival. Dora was a 1971 graduate of Algonquin Regional High School. She worked as a computer programmer for the Aristes Redevelopment Authority. On August 18, 1978 in Williamsport, she married David Lee Whyne who preceded her in death in 2010. Dora is survived by two daughters, Danielle DeFrancesco and husband, Elliott of Mt. Carmel and Andrea Martz and husband, Charles of Kulpmont; a grandson, Hunter Whyne; two granddaughters, Tori DeFrancesco and Hailey DeFrancesco; twin brothers, Dean Percival of MA and Gene Percival of MA; a sister, Dorothy Mc Carty of Williamsport; a sister-in-law, Helen Whyne; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Dora was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Sarah (Schell) Whyne; a brother, William “Bill” Percival; five brothers-in-law, Donald “Coot” McCarty, Daniel Whyne, William Whyne and wife, Betty, Freeman “Butch” Whyne, and John “Jack” Whyne and wife, Rose; two sisters-in-law, Janet Zarko and husband, Paul and Sarah Hanlon and husband, James. FUNERAL NOTICE Dora J. (Percival) Whyne, 68, of Mt. Carmel – Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 in the C. J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N. Vine St., Mt. Carmel, PA 17851, with Pastor Sara Hershberger officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Methodist Cemetery, Aristes. Events | Although Dora had to repeat 12th grade and graduated in Massachusetts, I think we can all agree that she went to Montgomery School through every grade, she is considered class of 1970. |
