Becky was a Fireball! She had a smile that didn't quit and was involved in many activities in school, including the Girls Athletic Association, Junior and Senior plays, Drill Team and Cheerleading. She also worked on the Ottocrat her Senior year. She died from medical complications due to a fall she took in 2001 while on vacation. She earned an administrative secretarial degree from OBI after high school. A Department of the Interior employee for more than 35 years, she started her federal government career at the Job Corps in Medina, NY transferring to Washington, D.C. in 1966. Her first assignment aws in the Office of Energy and Minerals at the Department of the Interior. She also served in the Office of Surface Mining. During President Reagan's two terms she held senior advisory positions for former lSecretary of Energy and Secretary of Interior Donald Hodel. In 1986 she was appointed Deputy Asst Secretary to Land and Minerals for the Department of Interior. In her latest position she worked in the policy and management section for the Department of Interior's Fish and Wildlife Service. |
