Bob was born in Rixford, married Bonnie Wurster, and lived in later life in the home he grew up in. He was an Industrial Arts Major in high school, played football and was on the Varsity Stage Crew. Bob was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as a welder with the U.S. Army in Company A, 83rd Battalion in Chinon, France. He had been employed by Dresser Manufacturing Co in Bradford and Clark Bros in Olean. For 14 years he was the co-owner and operator of the C & G Pipe and Oil Co of Rixford. Since 1982 he was a self-employed carpenter in the area. He was a member of the Keating Sporstsman's Club and a past member of the Dukke Center United Methodist Church. He loved trapping, hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was survived by his wife, a son, Johnathan, and three daughters, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Suzanne. He also was survived by two sisters, Eleanor and Edith. His brother, Edwin, predeceased him in 2002. |
