| About | Phyllis ‘Petey’ Petersen Adams passed away peacefully after a long battle with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She was born in Seattle, WA and moved with her family to Villanova, PA from Dallas, TX. Phyllis graduated from Radnor High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Arizona. She worked for Tucson Gas and Electric as well as McGeorge Brothers. Phyllis married Charles Adams and they were blessed with two children, Katharine in 1980 and John in 1983. She was an involved and loving mother volunteering in her children’s schools and could often be found assisting with school fundraising. She remained active in her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, and enjoyed her years as a volunteer of the Junior League of Arizona. Phyllis was an active member of Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church for over 30 years. Petey will be remembered for her caring, passionate, loving manner and the gift she had for gathering friends together and, most importantly, for the unconditional love she expressed towards her daughter, son, and grandson. |
