| About | My sister, Peggy Zieber, passed away September 10, 1995, after fighting breast cancer for a year and a half. Peggy went to Albright college, graduating in 1969. For the next 26 years, she taught third grade at St. Margaret's School in Reading. She loved her students, and they loved her. She was so dedicated to her job, that, the day after Labor Day, 1995, she went to work, but was to weak from her treatments to climb the stairs to her second floor classroom.One of the Sisters called me at my job, and told me they were taking her back home. The next day she was admitted to the hospital, and she passed a few days later. One of the saddest events in my life. St. Margarets held a beautiful Catholic Mass for her funeral. A commemorative plaque was placed on the wall outside of her classroom, and a tree was planted in the garden outside of the school in her honor. I'll miss my sister for as long as I live.
