Alex Michaelson, 71, of Union City, Pa., passed away on Jan. 7, 2015, at Corry Manor. Alex was born March 4, 1943, in Union City, a son to the late Alex and Helen Michaelson. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked for GE in Erie, retiring after 34 years of service. He was a member of American Legion, Post 237, the VFW Post 6773, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 882, and St. Teresa Catholic Church. He was a former member of UC Municipal Authority for over 20 years. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, "Connie" (Peel) Michaelson, a daughter, Pam Maleski, his adoptive sons, Michael and Brian, a brother, Bill Michaelson, and grandchildren, Robert Maleski, Caitlin Kolodziejczak, Joshua Michaelson, Nathan Maleski, and Daniel Michaelson. |
