About | Bruce R. Lyster, 46, of West Chester, died at his home on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009. Born and raised in Chadds Ford, he was the sixth child of Lloyd and Eleanor Lyster. He was a graduate of Unionville High School and also attended West Chester University. Bruce was the owner and operator of BRL Construction, which he founded in 1985. Bruce was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed hunting big game throughout North America. He also had a passion for dogs and spent much of his spare time as a trainer and judge in the sport of canine field trials. Bruce is survived by his mother, Eleanor T. Lyster of Chadds Ford; sisters, Karen L. Clary of Florida, Cheryl L. Verkest of North Carolina and Michele L. Wilson of New Jersey; and brothers, Gregg S. Lyster of Elverson, Guy E. Lyster of Chadds Ford and Curt J. Lyster of Nottingham. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark A. Lyster of Claymont, Del.; and his father, Lloyd Lyster. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, at St. Cornelius Church, Ridge Road, Chadds Ford. Friends and family may call on Friday, Aug. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Interment will be private.
