Beloved wife of the late Regis Brown. Loving mother of Amanda (Dawn Petryk) Brown, Michael Brown, Michele (Erik) Filoon, and her niece, Carrie Elk who was like a daughter to her. Proud grandmother to Brandon and Lauren Filoon, and great-aunt to Alison (Noah) Bartlett. Also survived by her siblings, Paul Yuzawich and Rita (Bill) Stark; loving companion, Bob Schartner; dear friend, Marjorie Vangenewitt and many other extended family and cherished friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary (Matviya) Yuzawich; and brother, Bernard "Bernie" Yuzawich. Madge was a proud graduate of Wilkinsburg High School class of 1958 and enjoyed coordinating the class reunions over the years. She worked as an executive administrator to the President for Mine Safety Appliances Company (MSA) and retired after 50 years of service. Madge was a faithful long-time parishioner of St. Bernadette Church. One of her favorite things to do was travel to tropical destinations and her adventurous spirit made everything into a celebration. |
Events | Friends will be received Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 12 p.m. at St. Bernadette Church-Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
