BORN 2/22/1958 during a winter storm. While Dad was bowling. Memorial services held on Super Bowl Sunday during another winter storm. My little brother, he left big shoes to fill! He spent the last no. of years caring physically for our older brother Bill, who died at 51 yr. after11yr of bedridden fighting MS and complications.Bill was no tiny Tim ,remember he played football? At the same time he took care of our father who died of the 2ndof his three cancers. Jerry literally carried our father , Pop,room to room as needed. Pop died first then Bill, by then Our mother was his next patient. She she had become diabetic. When the dr. took her cateract out she got MRSA in that eye & lost all vision in that eye & could no longer drive. She had many dr.appt.& other appts. He did all this will a smile on his face and a joke or funny story. He always left people happier than when he arrived.Everyone from the banker to the eye dr. expressed how sorry they were not to be seeing him because he always made them feel better just for having been there. Jerry began to lose his vision & have kidney problems but never complained. We never realized the extent of his illness until Sun.1/31/2011, the day he died. Like our brother, he was 51yr. old. His was a sudden and quick death. He was a tissue donor, donating corneas, long bones and skin. Please consider being a donor when you renew your license. |
