About | Dennis Lee Barnes, 60, of 3780 Halsaver Road, Kill Buck, passed away Monday (June 24, 2013) at his residence as the result of an accident. Born Feb. 21, 1953, in Windber, he was a son of the late Simon "Si" and Phyllis V. Harbaugh Barnes. On Feb. 15, 1974, in Bradford, Pa., he married Mirta Polo Barnes, who survives. Mr. Barnes attended Windber High School. He had been employed at Hanley Brick Co., then for 30 years at Kessell Construction as a heavy-equipment operator. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his granddaughters. He also loved the outdoors and his dogs, Shadow and Rusty. He was a member of the Salamanca Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Renee M. (Ayodele) Olomo of Cheektowaga; a son, Dennis Raymond (Sonya) Barnes of Limestone; two granddaughters, Tessa and Tia; three sisters, Norma Barnes of Bradford, Jane (Kenneth) Hatch of Limestone and Beverly (Clifford) Redeye of Salamanca; two brothers, Jeffrey (Maria) Barnes and Simon (Lori) Barnes, both of Limestone; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. |
