About | Abner P. Millard, 97, of Plymouth died Monday afternoon at the Summit Health Care Center, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Plymouth, a son of the late William and Muriel Pike Millard. Mr. Millard graduated from Plymouth High School in 1928 and continued his education at Lafayette College, graduating in 1934. Prior to his retirement in 1976, he had been employed for many years as a math teacher by Plymouth High School, which later became part of the Wyoming Valley West School District. He was a member of the former First United Methodist Church, Plymouth, the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the National Education Association, a life member of Kappa Sigma, and was once a very active member in the Plymouth Kiwanis Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Edith Cosslett , Plymouth; and a brother, Daniel. |
