About | Ann Meredith Mitchell, 63, of Fountain Hill, PA, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Lower Saucon Township following a brief illness. She was born June 9, 1953, to Elizabeth Womelsdorf Mitchell of Kingston and the late Herbert Frederick Mitchell. Ann graduated from Kutztown University (formerly Kutztown State College) with a degree in elementary education. She was an elementary educator, a pre-school teacher and a nanny for two families. By far, her favorite vocation was being a nanny to Eugene, Katie, Zachery and Faith. Ann was known for her encyclopedic memory, her deep knowledge of the Bible, her great enjoyment of music, excellent writing ability and her immense love of children. Her favorite passage from the Bible was: "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Ann was a faithful member of Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem, PA. In addition to her loving mother, she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Mitchell and Randall Outlaw; her beloved nieces, Kathryn and Meredith Outlaw; and many cousins. A service of celebration was held in the main sanctuary in Central Moravian Church, Church and Main streets, Bethlehem, PA 18018. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. She was buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the church. |
