| About | Sarah Muhlenberg Grace, 55, of Kenhorst, died January 9, 2013, in Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Dr. J. Peter and Dorothy (Snider) Muhlenberg. She was a graduate of Wyomissing High School in 1975 where she was named class president and received the “Pro” Nelson award for outstanding senior female athlete. Sarah graduated from Allegheny College in 1979 where she majored in English and continued her athletic endeavors, playing varsity basketball all four years at Allegheny. She was employed as an ESL teacher at Berks County Prison and Reading Area Community College. She presently worked as an adjunct professor teaching English for the Reading Area Community College. Sarah had a great interest in music, she hosted a jazz radio show and playing piano regularly for seniors. Sarah is survived by four children, Benjamin W. Grace, husband of Colleen DeNoia-Grace, Pompton Plains, NJ, Frederick G. Grace, Gabriel B. Grace, both of Baltimore and Naomi S. Grace, Reading; her sister, Martha Muhlenberg, wife of Frank Doto, Downingtown and her former husband, John W. Grace, Baltimore. She was predeceased by her brother, William H. Muhlenberg. Memorial Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be private in Charles Evans Cemetery. |
