About | Adam J. Skokut Jr., 18, of Smithton, went to be with Jesus his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017. He was born April 24, 1998, a son of Adam J. Skokut Sr. and Tammy Rhoades Skokut of Smithton. Adam worked with his father in their family business, A-Affordable Sanitation. He was attending the Allegheny County Plumbing School and attending the Word of Life Church in Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Adam and Mary Louise Skokut. In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Rhoades, of West Newton; his maternal grandfather, Arley Von, and his maternal great-grandmother, Edna Rhoades, of Sutersville; his sister, Samantha Skokut, of Sutersville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Adam was always happy; he loved life and will be deeply missed by his friends and family. The family will receive friends from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Bible Alliance Church, 1000 Mt. Pleasant Road, West Newton. There will also be viewing from 9 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Frank Todaro presiding. Private interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery in South Huntingdon Township. RICHARD F. DODSON MEMORIAL HOME is entrusted with arrangements.
