About Christopher M. “Uncle Fish” LeGros, age 41 of Irwin, died at home Sunday September 21, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 25, 1973 in Alexandria, VA, a son of Linda M. (Bell) (husband Ray) Poorbaugh of Irwin with whom he resided and Terry (the late Judy) LeGros of VA. He was a graduate of Yough High School, a self-employed carpenter, loved to fish and participated in many fishing tournaments, and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to his parents he is survived by siblings, Eddie (Jodi) Poorbaugh of Herminie, Justin (Christy) Poorbaugh of Berlin, and Shannon (Brian) Leigh, Stephanie (Tommy) Settle, and Sarah LeGros all of VA; grandparents, Betty “Nanny” (the late Richard) Bell and Virginia “Gigi” (the late Johnny) LeGros; nieces and nephews, Caleb, Evan, Cayley, Gage, Gavin, Noelle, and Colbie; aunts and uncles; many cousins with whom he grew up with and had a lifetime of memories; and his pet cat Shimano aka “Bubs”. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. Those wishing please wear your favorite Steelers outfit. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to The Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714 or Hillman Cancer Center, 5150 Center Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15132.
