Eric James Besselman, 28, of Herminie, passed away, Tuesday, July 7, 2015, unexpectedly at his home, from possible complications from a car accident. He was born May 20, 1987, to his loving parents, Jim and Bonnie (Brutz) Besselman, of Herminie. Eric was a 2005 graduate of Yough Senior High School. After graduation, he attended Kaplan and excelled as an electrician. He was employed by Greensburg Pool and Supply Co. Eric was a member of the 8th Air Force and loved learning about history. He especially liked when he went on a trip to Savannah, Ga. and would tell people he sat on the same bench as Forest Gump. He liked to play hockey, basketball, fishing, karate and Texas Holdem. He had a soft spot for animals, especially his two cats, FeFe and Ella, who he raised since birth. He found the love of his life six years ago, his soulmate, Lacey Kardos, of Herminie, with whom he resided. Eric touched everyone he knew and could make them smile. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandfather, Gene Besselman, of Murrysville; grandfather, Bob Brutz, of Irwin; grandmother, Suzann Kramer, of Hutchinson; his aunts, Debbie Brutz (his godmother), of Herminie, Sue (Jim) McLaughlin, of Murrysville; uncle, Tom (Diana) Besselman, of Virginia; great-aunt, Marla Abbe, of Florida; great-aunt, Pat Roose, of Hutchinson; and several cousins who all loved him dearly. Eric will be very sadly missed by his family and friends. We know his grandmother Florence and Pappy Kramer will be there to greet him. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251.
