About | Newspaper Obituary Glenn E. Lash, 60, of Lowber, died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 10, 2016, doing what he loved; trapshooting at The Grand, in Sparta, Illinois. He was born April 8, 1956 in McKeesport. Husband of Dienna (Shorthouse), of Lowber, for 39 years. Glenn was a 1974 graduate of Yough Senior High School. He was a transit technician employed by Bombardier Inc., at Pittsburgh International Airport. Glenn was the Pennsylvania Delegate for the Amateur Trapshooting Association, member of F&AM No. 593 Blyth Lodge, member of Syria Shrine and a member of the Ruffsdale Gun Club. He was inducted into the Pennsylvania State Sportsmen’s Association Hall of Fame in 2008, along with many, many accomplishments prior to and since. In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother, Gloria A. Lash of Lowber; brother, Terry (Arlene); sisters, Kathleen Obringer (Jim), and Coleen Lawrenzi (Jon); numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, John Michael Lash on July 10, 2015; his father, John B. Lash; and his maternal grandmother, Helen A. Corso. There will be no visitation. A memorial service and Masonic service will be held at 11 am Friday August 19th, at The Church, 1683 Mars Hill Rd., Sutersville.
