| About | Marc Robert Hixson, age 33 of Smithton, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017. He was born on May 26, 1984, the son of Mark Alan and Anita L. (Mancini) Hixson. In addition to his parents he is survived by his grandmother, Joy Hixson, an uncle, Dana Hixson and family, his God Mother, Donna Siber and family, great aunts and the love of his life, Julie. Marc graduated from Yough High School Class of 2002 where he played baseball and football and in his senior year was all conference. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts in 2007 from Dickinson College in Carlisle PA where he also played football. He was a carpenter and belonged to Local 432 Carpenters Union. Marc’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa, where Prayers of Transfer will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 19, 2017 in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 3332 Pittsburgh Road, Perryopolis with Rev. Father Anthony Ditto as celebrant. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Smithton, PA. |
