About | Mount Pleasant, Mary A. Milicevich Miele, age 89 of Mt. Pleasant, PA, died peacefully, Wednesday (12/3/14) in the Greensburg Care Center. Mrs. Miele was born February 20, 1925 in South Huntingdon Township, PA, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Vechter Milicevich. She was an active member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and its Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society. Mary was a graduate of the former South Huntingdon Township High School. She retired from the J.C. Penney Company after many years of service. Mary is survived by her loving family: her children; Terrence J. Miele and his wife Kellie of RuffsDale, Marianne Miele of Greensburg and Linda M. Kmetz and her husband Joseph of Acme, her six beloved grandchildren: Christopher Kmetz and his wife Rebecca of Acme, Rachel Kmetz of Acme, Elizabeth Bowlen of Washington, DC, Alexandra Miele of Cranberry, Zachary Miele of Florida, and Dominic Miele of RuffsDale, and her two great grandchildren, Pete Kmetz of Acme, and Destin Phillips of Cranberry. She is also survived by her sisters; Helen Tossavainen and her husband "Toss" of California, Rose Capretti and her husband "Buster" of Yukon and Dorothy Govi and her husband Aldo of Greensburg, by her brother, Stephen Milicevich and his wife Denise of Turkeytown., and by her sister-in-law, Ann Milicevich of West Newton. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her huband, Jerry J. Miele, Sr. in 1980, her son, Jerry J. Miele, Jr. in 2010, and by her two brothers, Lewis Milicevich and Edward "Diz" Milicevich. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 until 8 PM at the Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant. Mary's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 AM in St. Pius X RC Church, Silver & Summit Streets, Mount Pleasant, PA, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. (Everyone please go directly to the Church) Interment will be in the St. Pius X Parish Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 3 PM. Mary's family is grateful for the love, support and kindness offered by the caregivers at the Greensburg Care Center, Alzheimer's Unit and the Grane Hospice.
