About | 60, of Middletown, Rhode Island died Tuesday morning, January 8, 2013, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Home and Hospice Care Center of Rhode Island. Dan was a loving husband and father to wife Cynthia A. Bric-Malvey, daughter Kristyn Lee Malvey and sons Kevin James Malvey and Sean Patrick Malvey. Daniel graduated from Northeastern University in 1975 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He owned and operated DTM Weatherproofing for over 30 years. Daniel coached football at both Portsmouth Abbey and Tiverton High School before dedicating many years to N.E.R.I. Pop Warner as both coach and Commissioner of the league. Daniel was an avid bowler and enjoyed attending local sporting events, especially those in which his children participated. Daniel's dedication to the leagues of Middletown High School earned him a lifetime pass to all Middletown High School athletic events for unselfish services beyond the call of duty. A Mass will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at St. Lucy's Church, 909 West Main Road in Middletown at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Visiting hours to be held Friday, January 11, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at O'Neill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring Street, Newport, RI.
