| About | Marc Andrew Silvia, of Los Angeles, CA, age 64, passed away quietly in his sleep after having been hospitalized (and then in hospice) for less than 6 weeks for lung cancer, which had metastasized to his brain. He is survived by his beautiful mother, Jean Biastre Gadsby of Middletown; his darling and beloved sister and much-loved brother-in-law, Lisa & Patrick McGuire; 3 adoring (and in his words “adorable”) nieces, Megan (Devin) Gosal, Erin (Caleb) Chase and Kate (Caitlin) McGuire, and his sweet great niece and great nephew, Rheya and Aiden Gosal--as well as his partner and best friend Nicolas Hebert of Montreal, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his father Francis A. Silvia. Born in Hartford, CT in 1959, the family moved to Sarasota, FL in 1969 where he attended elementary school. His father’s untimely passing in 1973 brought the family back to RI. He graduated from Middletown High School in 1977, where he was voted “most talented” by his class. |
