| About | B. J. Harris Bell (May 2, 1941 - November 16, 2010) WILLIAMSTON – Barbara Jean “B. J.” Harris Bell, 69, of 6 L Street, widow of Thomas J. Bell, Jr., died Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at her home. Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of Gladys Mayfield Waters, of Pelzer, and the late William “Bill” Harris. She retired from the Town of Pelzer in 2001 where she was the athletic director for the recreation center, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelzer. In addition to her mother, she is survived by son, Todd Bell and his wife, Lory, of Williamston; daughter, Terri Bell Bannister, of Williamston; brothers, Billy Harris, of Duncan, Paul Waters, of St. Joe, MO, and David Waters, of Lexington; sisters, Linda Ford, of Pelzer, and Joann Crowe, of Williamston; grandchildren, Barry Bell, Nicole Bell and Brady Bannister; and great-grandchild, Taylor Bell. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010, in the funeral home chapel with burial following in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family is at the home.
