About He previously received the Air Medal – 3 Stars for meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight and service in support of military operations against communist aggression in the Republic of Vietnam awarded by the President. The Republic of Vietnam Campaign metal was awarded for service in Vietnam between 1965 an 1973 for 6 months or more. Ron served two tours from April 1969 to April 1970 and July 1971 to March 1972. The Campaigns: Tet69/Counter Offensive, Vietnam Summer/Fall 1969, Vietnam Winter-Spring 1970, Vietnam Counteroffensive Phase VII and 15th Campaign (unnamed). Ron served as helicopter repairman, door gunner and crew chief. Spec 5 Ronald Terry Aaberg
August 16, 1950 to September 26, 1983. He is buried at Black Hills Cemetary as is his mother, Edith Frazier Aaberg King and his Grandmother Margaret Frazier Hill. He is survived by his sister, Gloria Aaberg Gillespie.
