About | Lisa Elaine Dell THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Lisa Elaine Dell beloved Wife, Mother, and Nana was born April 13, 1959, in Berkeley, Calif. She spent her childhood in Kansas City, Kan., Newell, S.D., and Schuyler, Neb. She excelled in school and was an active member of the FHA and won the Future Homemakers of America Award. After meeting her husband Donald in college, she went on to have three children. Lisa devoted herself completely to her family and was a wonderful homemaker. She served as a CCD educator, Girl Scout leader, school volunteer, and was a member of the Democratic Party and MS Society. Lisa leaves behind her husband, Donald John Dell of the Woodlands; her son, Jacob Joseph Dell and wife, Rachel, and grandchildren, Carolyn, Abigail and Elizabeth of San Antonio; her daughter, Meaghan Hurd Dell Steffek and husband, Matthew, and grandchildren, Winston and Henry of San Antonio; and her daughter, Abigail Anna Dell, and fiancé, Martin Epple of Zurich, Switzerland; her sister, Carrie Richardson and family of Fruita, Colo.; and her brother, Joseph Hurd and family of Columbus, Neb. Lisa was the best Nana to her five grandchildren, whom she loved and cared for beyond measure. They will greatly miss their Nana as they hold steadfast to her memory. Lisa was a treasure to all who knew her. Her quick wit, sense of humor, intelligence, and determination made her a respected member of her family and the community. Lisa's fiery will and strength persisted as she dealt with the disease of MS for the past 15 years. Lisa handled herself with grace, pose, and kindness. Words cannot express how much she will be missed. Her family vows to keep her memory alive and will cherish always the time they were blessed to spend with her here on Earth. Lisa's family knows she is with the Lord now and is at peace. Heaven has a new treasure and her family here on Earth has a new Angel to look after and protect them. Lisa will always be in their hearts and on their minds. We love, honor, and miss you Lisa; Beloved Wife, Mother, and Nana. Memorial Services will be held at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newell on Saturday, June 5. 2010.
