About | Dennis Marko, 50, Huron formerly of Cavour, died May 10, 1999 at his residence. His funeral mass was May 13 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cavour where Father Joe Holzhauster officiated. Casket bearers were Ed Grassel, Scott Ingle, Brent Aldrich and Greg Stonno, Gerald Puterbaugh, Garry Olmstead, Robert Ingle and Charles Koll. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery with military rites by the William Reaves American League Post #7. The scripture service was held at Welter Funeral Home. Dennis Duane Peter Marko was born on July 22, 1948 to Peter and Ione (Nielson) Marko at Webster. He attended school at Webster and graduated from Webster High School . He enlisted in the US Navy October 9, 1968 and was honorably discharged September 17, 1970. On October 28, 1972, Dennis married Barbara Gillies at Clark. He was employed at the potato plant at Clark for a short time, until they moved to Huron where he worked on construction. They lived south of Cavour where he was employed by Bob and Scott Ingle at Pearl View Farms. Due to his ill health they moved back to Huron in January of 1999. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Cavour and currently a member of Huron Catholic Community and the William Reaves American League Post #7 of Huron. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his mother Ione, Webster; four brothers, Robert (Gerry), Cottage Grove, MN; Donald and Ronald, Webster; and James, Butler and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Peter, one brother Alan and his grandparents. |
