About | Golden, Donna Rives Enjoyed Every Aspect Of Life Thursday, June 3, 2021 Donna Rives Golden, 90, died on Thursday, June 3, 2021. She was born in Old Hickory, Tn., on May 20, 1931, and lived in Old Hickory and Hermitage, Tn. until 1999. She then moved to Ooltewah. Donna was a member of Ooltewah United Methodist Church, the Alpha Circle, the Prayer Shawl Ministry, the Ladies Bible Study Group, the Scenic City Friends and the CLC. She served on the Board of the Scenic City Friends, she also served on several home owner associations. She managed the Data Processing System at the Tennessee State Fair for 20 years. Donna was active in helping organize the DuPont High School Alumni Association. She enjoyed every aspect of life. There was never enough time to do all the things she wanted to do. Donna was a devoted wife and mother, she loved her family with all her heart. She enjoyed all kinds of sewing. She liked to cook, especially preparing favorite foods for her family. Going camping with her family was always fun and exciting for her. After retirement, she and her husband traveled to many exciting places, they shared each other’s joys and wept each other’s tears. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Golden and her grandson, Jonathan Clemmons. Survivors include her four daughters, Cathy Hill, of Franklin, Tn., Connie Clemmons, of Hermitage, Tn., Lisa (Jay) Clements, of Chattanooga, Leah (Ken) Malloy, of Nashville, nine wonderful grandchildren, Tonya Harper, Todd Carpenter, Amy Lewis, Alison Prewitt, Michael Malloy, Casey Malloy, Drew Clements, Reid Clements, and Caroline Mitchell, 12 great-grandchildren, Alec, Ella, Maddie, Colin, Cathleen, Camille, Hallie, Amelia, Lottie, Rhett, Pearl and Charlotte and a great-great-grandson, Henry. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Dwight Kilbourne officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 12–2 pm, Sunday, June 6, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ooltewah United Methodist Church, 6131 Relocation Way, Ooltewah, TN 37363.
