Events Eric Clayton Lewelling of Sevierville passed away February 3rd at the age of 45.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Johnson City, where he was currently living. There he realized his dream of owning a successful training and nutrition fitness studio. Eric was a friend to all who knew him. He was a jokester and loved to share laughs. He was a philanthropist contributing to causes such as feeding the homeless and elderly, his local animal shelters, and gathering food and supplies for the 2017 Gatlinburg fire victims. He was always extremely proud of knowing both his grandfathers served in the military.

Eric is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ray Lavator King and Billy H. Lewelling, Sr.; niece, Raya LeeAnn Ferree; great aunt, Pauline Roark King; special friends, Bob L. McGill, Daniel R. Galyon, and Scott Ramsey.

He is survived by his wife, Erica Fezell-Lewelling; mother, Rita King-Millsaps; father, Billy H. Lewelling, Jr.; son, Ethan Ramsey Kaplan; grandmothers, Katherine Roark-King and Geneva Lewelling; siblings, Amanda Rachel McGill and Gracie Millsaps; father-in-law, Preston Fezell (Carla); mother-in-law, Tina Watson (Terry); grandmother-in-law, Frances Fezell; fur babies, Dozer and Paisley; family friends, Natasha Hurst and James Wood; and best friend, Josh Raper. He also left behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his precious E-Fit Nation.

Services in Johnson City were held on Wednesday, February 10th, from 10am to 1pm at Tetrick Funeral Services. 3001 Peoples Street, Johnson City, TN. Followed by graveside services at 2pm in Oak Hill Cemetery, 205 Whitney Street, Johnson City, TN.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, February 13th, from 2pm-4pm at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Hwy, Alcoa, TN 37701.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Sevier County Humane Society.
