About | Carl William Foshee, 58, of El Campo TX died Sunday, July 16, 2006, in Wharton. He was born Sept. 18, 1947 in Conroe to James and Gladys Foshee. Mr. Foshee was the manager of finance and accounting at Wharton County Electric Cooperative for the last 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and was on the finance, greeting and transportation committees. Mr. Foshee served on numerous local, regional and statewide economic development and cooperative associations, including serving on the South Texas Electric Cooperative Credit Committee, chairman of the Texas Electric Cooperative Accounting Association, and as a founding member of the Coastal Plains Agri-Business Incubator System. He was also secretary/treasurer of the City Development Corporation. An alumnus of Houston Baptist University and Wharton County Junior College, Mr. Foshee served for many years on the Wharton County Junior College Computer Science Advisory Board, and also on the El Campo Northside Center Board. He was past president of the El Campo Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, the El Campo Lions Club and the El Campo Jaycees. Mr. Foshee also worked with the Boy Scouts and was assistant coach in the El Campo Little League program for several years. |
