Gary Alton Olson died on December 4, 2014, at the age of 67. He was born on December 19, 1946, in Bay City, Texas to Alton and Marie Olson. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara. He is survived by Mitzi Mahoney, his wife of 21 years; his sister Almarie Reed and brother-in-law Joe Reed. He was privileged to be loved by his sisters, in-laws, mother-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. For the last 3 years Gary has had a second family at the Huntsville Health Care Center. We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to all those who befriended and loved both of us as they cared for Gary. Services will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 5:30pm at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home at 1700 Normal Park, Huntsville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
