| About | January 9, 1948 - July 12, 2016 John Lars Rooth, “JR,” “Johnny”, 68, born January 9, 1948, passed away on July 12, 2016, in San Diego, CA. He was preceded in death by parents, Ramon and Helen Rooth; sister, Linnea Rooth Dilley; brother-in-law, Jim Dilley; and brother, Marc Rooth. He is survived by brothers, Eric Rooth, Richard Rooth and wife Dianne Rooth; and nephews, Jeremy and Jeffery Rooth and families. He graduated from BCHS and Trinity University. He farmed locally and had many close friends in Bay City, TX. The majority of his life was in Real Estate. He lived in Maui, Hawaii and Oceanside California. He had close friends in the Hawaii Yacht Club, Robert and Claudette Edison, from working and living in Hawaii. From living and working in California, he had close friends in Tim Jefferies, Susan Hall and Jerry Buss, past owner of Lakers. He loved being with animals and the outdoors. A private memorial celebration will be held at later date and time. |
