About Frankie E."Gene" Bryan went to be with the Lord
on October 12, 2015.

Mr. Bryan was born to Fred Bryan and Lela (Fuller) Bryan on July 3, 1931 in Whitney, TX. He was born and raised in Whitney, graduating from Whitney High School. He attended Baylor University receiving a B.S and a M.S. in Physical Education. He served in the United States Navy from 1951-1954.

Mr. Bryan was a teacher in the Borger School system for 43 yrs. He touched the lives of numerous students. One of his greatest passions was coaching the "Hot Peppers" Jump Roping group.They were a dynamic group of 5th and 6th grade students who traveled and performed Double Dutch routines at halftime shows all over the panhandle. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Borger, the American Legion Post 812, the Borger Classroom Teachers Association, the Texas Classroom Teachers Association, Borger Noon Lions Club and the SMU Mustang Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, one sister, and a nephew, Fred Bryan.

He is survived by a sister-in-law Jo Bryan, 14 nieces and nephews and their families including Micah Noland of Hereford and Kim and husband Richard Winter of Canyon.

Services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, Borger.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hillcrest Garden of Memory Cemetery, Hillsboro, Texas.

The family of Mr. Bryan wish to extend a sincere thank you to all who gave such special care and attention to Gene, especially the caregivers of Brookdale, Caprock Rehabilitation Center, Vibra Health and BSA Hospital and a special thank you to the FUMC moving crew.
