About | Joel Guadalupe Garcia, 61, of Clute, Texas and residing in Pearland Texas, passed unexpectedly on Friday, August 27, 2021. Joel Garcia was born to Pablo (Paul) Peralez and Dominga Martinez Garcia on December 10, 1959, in Freeport, Texas. Joel Garcia married Maria Lara Garcia in Brazoria, Texas on March 8, 1980. Joel Garcia worked 20 years as an Operator for the Dow Chemical Company, five years as a Technician for Time Warner/Comcast and ten years as an Electrician for KBR. Joel grew up in Clute, Texas. and was a 1978 graduate of Brazoswood High School. He was married to Maria for 41 years and raised two very loved children, Joel Jr. and Melissa. He was a member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in Clute, Texa s, and New Hope in Friendswood, Texas. He was a great man and loving father who was loved by many. Joel loved the Astros; he was an avid fan and attended as many games, as possible. He loved sports, fishing and he spent many years volunteering as a coach with Clute Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball. As a coach he loved, supported, and mentored the youth as his own children which touched the hearts and positively impacted the lives of many. Joel was known by all those he coached as, “GARRRCIA!!!” He was extremely proud of the Babe Ruth teams he coached to the Babe Ruth World Series in 1994 and 1996. Joel was a man of laughter, humor and was the life of any gathering, party or function he attended. He gave nicknames to his family members, and you can be assured there was never a dull or boring moment with him present. He never met a stranger and will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Joel Garcia is preceded in death by his mother, Dominga Garcia and mother-in-law, Maria Louisa (Licha) Hernandez. Joel Garcia is survived by wife. Maria Garcia; son, Joel Garcia Jr.; daughter, Melissa Garcia; and grandson, Riley Garcia; father, Paul (Collete) Garcia; sisters, Mariza (Ron) Damian, Belinda (Jim) Luna; brothers, Richard (Mary) Garcia and John (Delores) Garcia; sister, Paula Bloss; and nieces and nephews. |
